چکیده

The quantum mechanical approach developed by us recently for the evolution of the universe is used to derive an alternative derivation connecting the temperature of the cosmic background radiation and the age of the universe which is found to be similar to the one obtained by Gamow long back. By assuming the age of the universe to be ≈ 20 billion years, we reproduce a value of ≈ 2.91 K for the cosmic back-ground radiation, agreeing well with the recently measured experimental value of 2.728 K. Besides, this theory enables us to calculate the photon density and entropy associated with the background radiation and the ratio of the number of photons to the number of nucleons, which quantitatively agree with the results obtained by others.

Evolution of Information and Complexity in an Ever-Expanding Universe

Using the usual definitions of information and entropy in quantum gravity and statistical mechanics and the existing views about the relation between information and complexity, we examine the evolution of complexity in an ever expanding universe.

The Quantum Statistical Mechanical Theory of Transport Processes

A new derivation of the quantum Boltzmann transport equation for the Fermion system from the quantum time evolution equation for the wigner distribution function is presented. The method exhibits the origin of the time - irreversibility of the Boltzmann equation. In the present work, the spin dependent and indistinguishibility of particles are also considered.

Finite–size scaling properties and Casimir forces in an exactly solvable quantum statistical–mechanical model Abstract A d–dimensional finite quantum model system confined to a general hypercubical geometry with linear spatial size L and " temporal size " 1/T (T-temperature of the system) is considered in the spherical approximation under periodic boundary conditions. Because of its close relat...

It is considered the model of the universe in which the scales of length, time and mass are related by the special relativity constant c, by the Newton gravity constant G and by the quantum mechanics constant ¯ h. The model meets constraints from the current age of the universe, from the high-redshift supernovae data, and from primordial nucleosynthesis. The model predicts the fractal structure...

ec 1 99 9 Finite - size scaling investigations in the quantum φ 4 - model with long - range interaction

In this paper, we study in details the critical behavior of theO(n) quantum φ4 model with long-range interaction decaying with the distances r by a power law as r−d−σ in the large n-limit. The zero-temperature critical behavior is discussed. Its alteration by the finite temperature and/or finite sizes in the space is studied. The scaling behaviours are studied in different regimes depending upo...
